I was very surprised and sad to find out that not a single person of the 15 people (mostly younger visitors, security, vendors and information staff) I talked to was able to speak Alsacian. Is this loss of regional languages to be found in all parts of France? I would have loved to speak Alsacian again because I speak High-Rhine Alemannic and Swiss (both the language of my childhood and teenage years) which are very similar to the Strasbourg and Alsace dialect.

Apart from that, the Stivell concert was *m*a*g*n*i*f*i*q*u*e* !!! An event like this comes closest to my idea of a perfect night. Could I ask for more? I will definitely go to the Metz concert on January 19, 2013 and I hope that many visitors of this forum will join me.
