Celtic Harp Duos?

I like Celtic Harp. In addition to Alan Stivell, another player I like is Rudiger Oppermann. I wonder if they have ever met, or might they ever play a duo?

Oppermann was originally inspired by Stivell and I think he is also a very creative artist.

yes we met several times.
I perhaps will make duos with different harpists one day, Vincenzo Zitello, for ex.

I had not heard of Zitello before. I will check his music out.

Oppermann usually does not play strictly Celtic music, but he has returned to that style now and then.

A recent project in that vein is The Brendan Voyage (2013) which includes one of his versions of Eliz Ysa, which I think he first heard on Renaissance of the Celtic Harp.

The earliest recording I have by him, Reise Nach Harfistan (1984), has a good recording of Brian Boru(‘s March).

His composition ‘Great Eagle Dance’, which appeared first on Fragile Balance (1998) and later on the interesting compilation Dance With Me (2010), is dedicated to Alan Stivell. It combines Celtic Harp with some Asian musical styles.

I’m from Ireland and in my thirties. There is some revival of interest in Celtic Harp in Ireland these days.

Siobhan Armstrong and Paul Dooley are two musicians who play and are very interested in the clarsach. But they stick to the medieval style instrument.
